Road, Rail and even Waterways form gateways to the Borough and should be looked after with care. Long Eaton Station is a gateway to the Borough but it is hardly an image that strikes the eye favourably. I would like to see a sprucing up of the whole Station area. The Station should aim to give a pleasing impression when entering or leaving Erewash, but I don't believe it does that. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and that goes for stations as well as people. More effort is needed by all concerned to spruce up our "gateways", including Long Eaton Station.
