BEING LEISURELY WITH THE TRUTH

In the Tories latest propaganda being put round both by Erewash Council and by their own Party, they claim to have done lots of improvements to Long Eaton's West Park Leisure Centre. Most of the money spent was on overdue repairs. However Sport England gave over £400,000 for the improvements.

WEST PARK LEISURE CENTRE

The Sport England money was given subject to the Tory run Council committing itself to free swimming for people sixteen years old and under and over 59's. After "winning" the General Election by lying their way to power and by buying off the Lib-Dems. The local Conservatives reneged on their promise and cancelled the free swimming initiative.
Nationally Tory promises are not worth a light and locally they are also very leisurely with the truth.

  1. I am a little too old / young to have taken advantage of the free swimming but there are many children who would love to be able to go swimming at a 'local' pool.

We should be fully encouraging youngsters ( and the not so young ) to take part in sports / exercise.

When ever a politician breaks a promise they always have an 'excuse' which all boils down to “ it's not my fault”.

Another thing we should be encouraging from youngsters is the art of making and keeping a promise. I you have no intention of keeping it just don't offer the promise.

What an 'fine' example the Tory councillor's have made ?
